Subject: Begging for Clarity

Dear BTQ:  Regarding the following:  "...our modern vocabulary would
parse the phrase with less regard for...", I beg you to consider what
the word "parse" really means; its original meaning has undergone some
degradation in modern usage. How about "construe" instead?   Also,
regarding the Subject of your sentence, only Homo Sapiens is able to
parse or construe anything. Keep up the good work. Cheers, RR
